If You Have:
-
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting
-
CPA license
-
10+ years of experience in public accounting (preferred)
-
Extensive tax compliance and planning experience for individuals, partnerships, S-Corps, and corporations
-
Proficiency in accounting and auditing literature
-
Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
-
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
-
Robust organizational and time management skills
-
Experience with Thomson Reuters Engagement Manager, CaseWare, and tax software such as UltraTax or GoSystem (a plus)
You Will Be:
-
Managing and reviewing complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and nonprofits

Providing proactive tax planning and consulting services to clients across multiple industries

Researching and interpreting tax laws and regulations to resolve complex tax issues and ensure firm-wide tax compliance

Supervising, mentoring, and training staff and senior accountants in tax matters and best practices

Serving as the primary point of contact for clients on tax-related issues, delivering clear guidance and exceptional service

Assisting clients during IRS or state tax examinations and representing them before tax authorities as needed

Overseeing and participating in annual tax busy season planning and process improvement initiatives

Participating in the firm’s business development efforts and helping expand tax service offerings

Performing independent quality control reviews of audit, review, and compilation engagements

Leading annual internal monitoring for quality control

Coordinating external peer reviews every 3 years

Maintaining and updating the firm’s quality control document

Staying current with the latest accounting, auditing, and tax guidance

Planning, managing, and performing financial statement engagements
-
Developing a comprehensive understanding of client operations and business objectives

Traveling to clients within the Atlanta Metro area (less than 20% travel)
