    You Will Be

    • Acting as the company’s finance and accounting lead, performing and managing all accounting, financial, and administrative activities under the direction of the CEO and in close collaboration with the Manufacturing Manager.
    • Preparing consolidated financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows) for the holding company, pilot plant, and overseas research facility.
    • Analyzing, interpreting, and communicating financial results to management, and providing counsel on revenue growth, profitability, cash flow, cost management, operational improvements, capital investments, and asset management.
    • Owning the month‑end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations/settlements, intercompany transactions, and ensuring accurate ledgers and timely financial reporting.
    • Collect and analyze data on operational and administrative costs (materials, labor, manufacturing overhead, capital spending, administration, shipping, etc.) and use this information to drive decisions.
    • Calculate and set standard costs for manufactured goods, perform CVP analysis by product line, and analyze production variances with plant leadership.
    • Assist with annual budgets and periodic forecasts, including modeling scenarios and supporting strategic decision‑making for leadership.
    • Identify cost‑saving opportunities, manage the costs of business processes (administration, labor, shipping, etc.), and report cost trends monthly with clear, actionable insights.
    • Perform monthly inventory counts in coordination with plant staff (including periodic on‑site visits) and maintain accurate inventory values for raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and supplies on a FIFO basis.
    • Monitor the cash position for all legal entities, forecast future cash requirements, and manage daily cash management processes.
    • Handle AR/AP activities, including collecting receivables, paying invoices, managing disputed transactions, and maintaining accrual accounts.
    • Perform and reconcile intercompany transactions, ensuring all ledger accounts are balanced and compliant with GAAP.
    • Review general ledger activity, trial balances, and financial statements for accuracy, researching and correcting discrepancies, and continuously improving information systems and internal controls.
    • Enhance the use of QuickBooks and help implement or optimize other financial and plant systems (MES, ERP, EDMS, Quality Events, etc.) to support accurate, efficient operations.
    • Coordinate with third‑party payroll providers in the U.S. and U.K. to process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance.
    • Coordinate with third‑party tax accountants in the U.S. and U.K. to prepare periodic tax returns and filings.
    • Oversee and coordinate HR and administrative areas, including insurance, employee benefits, policy and handbook information, housekeeping, and other general plant administrative activities to maintain a well‑run, compliant environment.

    Working Conditions
