Workers Compensation Underwriter
Job Description
Pay rate:Â BOE but roughly $70K
Location:Â On-site in Alpharetta, Georgia
Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
If you have:
- Must have at least 3-5 years of Workers Compensation insurance underwriting experience and be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the worker’s compensation Industry
- Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance/Risk management and relevant designations ideal. (e.g. CPCU, ASLI, ARM.)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the ability to adapt quickly to new software applications and carrier systems
- Must have professional verbal and written communication along, strong interpersonal skills and a customer service approach internally and externally
- Demonstrated ability to work with a team productivity-based environment and the ability to multitask efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Should be detail oriented with strong problem resolution, organizational and prioritization skills
- Must possess initiative and the drive to make positive changes to processes
- Quoting new business with efficiency and accuracy based on market availability and according to department service standards and company compliance, while achieving set goals in new business annually.
- Responsible for relationship building through marketing efforts and occasionally traveling for agency visits. This will include coordinating with other segments to add additional lines of coverage to policies.
- Assuring pricing and coverage requirements are being met, and providing quotes according to all contract and binding companies.
- Is always building relationships, promoting ongoing marketing efforts,  and providing best in class customer service to their network.
