Title:     Machine Operator – Winding

 

Reports to:  Production Lead

 

Summary/Objective:

Operates cylindrical winding machine to ensure finished products meet established Quality Control Standards.

 

Essential Functions:

  1. Starts up, shuts down, and operates cylindrical winding machine.
  2. Ensures daily production schedule is completed
  3. Performs routine maintenance as outlined in procedure.
  4. Moves heavy materials with hoist and proper material handling methods.
  5. Operates forklift to move products.
  6. Maintains a clean and safe work area.
  7. Follows safety procedures and reports any accident, incident, or unsafe conditions.
  8. Escalates Production and Safety issues to Production Lead or Production Supervisor,

Work Environment:

Frequently exposed to noise, fumes, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts.

 

Physical Demands:

successfully perform the essential functions of the job.)

Regularly required to talk or hear.  Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  Position involves walking and lifting up to 50 pounds for long periods of time throughout the day.  Operating a forklift, as needed, after properly certified.

 

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment):

Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes required.  Gloves, ear plugs, and other protective covering as needed.
